Sinopsis
"Remember to be wicked at school," Wanda's mum calls as she waves her goodbye. "But not too wicked!" "I'll try," Wanda promises. Wanda is a sweet little witch who is off to her first day at school. But when she arrives she can't help feeling that something isn't quite right. All the other pupils are fairies! When she tells her teacher that she doesn't think she's supposed to be there her teacher says everybody feels like that on their first day. A wonderful book about learning that it doesn't matter how different you look - you'll be loved whoever you are. Even if you are a witch at a fairy school!

This is Mark Sperring's second picture book for The Chicken House. He's a bookseller in Bristol. Liz and Kate Pope are identical twins who have just left art college. This is their spectacular debut picture book.
