The Bell Notes is a diary kept by the noted inventor, Arthur M. Young, in the period 1945-1947 during which his helicopter, Bell Model 47, was awarded the world's first commercial helicopter license. At the same time, Arthur was already engaged in a new quest, a spiritual one rather than a technological one. It would lead him through Eastern philosophy, Jungian dream analysis, parapsychology and yoga. These explorations, as well as the day-to-day work on the helicopter, were recorded in several volumes from which the most significant and inspiring entries have been gathered into the present book.
Arthur Young is one of the principal pioneers in the study of consciousness and his quest for the "psycopter" or winged self, is one of the great spiritual journeys of our time.
