Paul Mitchell grew up in six Victorian country towns and now lives in the Melbourne suburb of Yarraville. His award winning poetry book, Minorphysics, was released in 2003 and his second collection, Awake Despite the Hour, was published in 2007. A journalist, copywriter and teacher, Paul has also worked as an attendant carer, service station console operator, wool classer and rock singer. He has two children, Hannah and Hugo, and when he's not writing he likes to read, worry, meditate, and then get on with writing again.
