Sinopsis

This invaluable sourcebook provides much needed guidance, for both experienced and novice needleworkers alike, on the use of colour, fabric and general design principles. Lavishly illustrated in full colour, each project is clearly explained by simple, step-by-step instructions and photographs. As well as comprehensive instructions for each project, this book provides the reader with all they need to know to create the various patchwork forms. Easy to work, yet highly decorative, crazy patchwork lends itself to a wide variety of uses from traditional quilts to small boxes and bags, using a wonderfully rich and diverse range of fabrics, braids and embroidery. This inspirational book encompasses every aspect of the craft from choosing fabrics and decorative trimmings to basic patchwork and embroidery techniques. Both traditional and modern designs and methods are covered from hand-stitched embroidery to much quicker machined forms. This book provides simple, easy to execute instructions for a range of innovative and imaginative projects, illustrated with specially commissioned photography and artworks.
