The Campaign for Learning's Learning to Learn in Schools action research project has involved 24 schools in exploring the impact of 'learning to learn' approaches on standards and motivation. Teaching pupils how to learn includes: the research findings from the first year of the project, practical case studies of how some of the schools implemented 'learning to learn', a Foreword by Stephen Timms MP, Minister of State for School Standards, a fascinating summary of how the thinking behind the project evolved and innovative 'discussion mats' for use by teachers wanting to introduce this thinking into their own schools.
