Writer, reviewer, broadcaster and lecturer, Julia Eccleshare is also Children's Book Editor for the Guardian newspaper, Chairperson of the Smarties's Book Prize and winner of the Eleanor Farjeon Award 2000 in recognition of her contribution to the world of children's books.
