Sinopsis
The test of a great battlefield commander was how he used the forces at his disposal in different situations and at various stages of the conflict. Erwin Rommel - the Desert Fox - employed the German "blitzkrieg" techniques during the rush through the Low Countries and France, and he excelled himself in the Desert Campaign until being swamped by Allied numbers, and returned to France to work with forces now tasked with staving off the Allied invasion. This work, by a veteran tank commander, shows the forces, machinery armament and strategies available to Rommel and how he deployed them in World War II.

Acerca del autor
Lt. Col. George Forty CBE FMA is a leading authority on land warfare in the twentieth century. A former tank officer - he had command of a tank in the Korean War, and was wounded in battle - he established his reputation as Curator of the Tank Museum at Bovington, which he brought to be one of the world's leading military museums. He is a prolific author, and edits the quarterly journal Tank.
