This is an essential revision tool for all candidates preparing for the MRCPsych Part 1 examination. The OSCE (observed structured clinical examination) was introduced by the MRCPsych examiners in Spring 2003 to test clinical and communication skills. This book contains stations encountered by candidates in previous MRCPsych part 1 OSCE exams, together with important topics that are likely to appear in future examinations. This book gives candidates an orientation of what exactly the OSCE is about - with its emphasis on clinical and communication skills, and provides constructive techniques on how to perform. The author of this book passed the MRCPsych in 2003. As no OSCE textbooks where available at the time, he used the information he gathered from a wide range of sources to put together this title.
