This is the story of Eoin Young's career in international motorsport. Giving an insider's view of the Grand Prix world, he tells of life with Hulme, Hawkins, Clarke, Stewart, Hill, Hailwood and Surtees. The stories move from the relaxed 1960s to the present big-money, high-tech scene. The book begins in New Zealand where Young worked in a bank and attended races. Here he met Jim Clark, became Bruce McLaren's secretary, and came to Britain in 1961 to follow motorsport. He explains how the team survived after McLaren's death in 1970 and came to dominate Formula 1.
