Sinopsis
An increasing number of operations are now performed at a non-specialist level. This book provides junior doctors and GPs with a step-by-step guide to performing minor operations. Most of the operations covered would probably be done under local anaesthetic, however some may require general anaesthetic. The book should also be of interest to podiatrists having to perform minor foot operations, and medical students and nurses. It is not intended to be used as a reference book on surgery, but rather as a practical guide for enabling practitioners unfamiliar with these procedures to carry them out in safety.

A step-by-step guide to the most commonly performed minor operations, mostly done under local anaesthetic on a day case basis, although some may require general anaesthetic. The book is profusely illustrated with clear diagrams, and is designed to be a practical guide rather than an exhaustive reference. For all those who are required to carry out these procedures such as general surgeons, junior doctors, general practitioners and podiatrists, and of interest to medical students.
