The book explains the procedure for each of the many different ways of changing a name, which include deed poll, statutory declaration and a miscellany of less formal methods. The book covers both adults and children, both forenames and surnames. Where possible, the provisions of the "Children Act 1989" have been referred to. The special requirements of a number of professional bodies are also mentioned.
