This book is the first volume of the two volume proceedings of the International Conference on Computer Modelling of Seas and Coastal Regions and Boundary Elements in Fluid Dynamics, held in Southampton, UK, in April 1992, and contains the edited versions of some of the papers presented. The papers addressed sea and coastal region modelling problems, under both normal and extreme conditions and were divided into the following sections: waves; tides; shallow water circulation and channel flow; siltation and sedimentation; pollution problems; and computational techniques.
