Acerca del autor

Marika Maijala is an independent illustrator living and working in Helsinki, Finland. Her artistic practice draws from play, experiment, trial and error in the spirit of DIY.

Marika has received several awards and nominations for her work as children’s book illustrator, including Illustrator of the Year 2024 (The Association of Finnish Illustrators) and the Finnish State Award for Illustration Art 2020. Her stories and illustrations have been published worldwide.
