The first part concentrates on historicalfoundations. The second examines topics of central interest incontemporary deontic logic. The third presents some new logicalframeworks that have now become part of the mainstreamliterature.A second volume of the Handbook is currently in preparation, andthere may be a third after that.

Biografía del autor

John Horty is a Professor in the Philosophy Department and the Institute for Advanced Computer Studies at the University of Maryland. He is the author of Agency and Deontic Logic (Oxford, 2001) as well as papers on a variety of topics in logic, philosophy, and computer science.
