Susan Dun is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication at Northwestern University, Qatar. Her research focuses on media influences on physical activity and sports participation in the Muslim world. Karl Spracklen is Professor of Leisure Studies at Leeds Metropolitan University, UK. He has interests across leisure including the history, philosophy and sociology of sport. Nicholas Wise is Lecturer in Sport, Events and Tourism Management at Glasgow Caledonian University. Trained as a geographer, his research focuses on sport, community and identity in the Dominican Republic.
