Helen Cann has painted in studios of all shapes and now stirs up inspiration above a milkshake shop in Brighton, England. She has illustrated many titles for Barefoot Books, including Little Leap Forward. An adventurous traveller, she drew on a visit to the Arctic Circle in preparing the illustrations for this story. Jørn Riel was born in 1931 in Odense Denmark. He has travelled extensively and written over forty novels and short stories.
