Ursula Kilkelly is a professor of law at University College Cork where she is currently Dean of the Faculty of Law. She specialists in the legal implementation of children's rights on which subject she has published dozens of articles and numerous books including Children's Rights in Ireland: Law, Policy and Practice currently being prepared for second edition. She writes also on youth justice, a subject on which she actively advocates in media and public policy. She has worked with the EU and the Council of Europe on child-friendly justice and also conducts inter-disciplinary research on child-friendly healthcare.
