Sinopsis
The core of engineering learning is the ability to solve problems in specific fields; thus, engineering courses emerge as places where design thinking is a useful tool in training future engineers.
Design Thinking for Engineering: A practical guide provides support for master's level courses based on design thinking, as well as describing the experience of applying this approach to related and different branches of engineering. The book takes the reader through the various stages of design thinking and includes case studies and tools for readers to use in practice. The chapter contributors have all participated in educational projects in cooperation with the editors, and this collaborative approach is extended through discussions to real world experiences and projects.

Acerca de los autores
Iñigo Cuiñas is a professor in the School of Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Vigo in Spain, where he teaches courses on remote sensing and the link between engineering and society. He is the co-author of more than 200 published papers. His research focus is mainly on the propagation of radioelectric waves, and in the use of design thinking and soft skills in engineering.
Manuel José Fernández Iglesias is a professor in the School of Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Vigo in Spain, where he lectures on informatics and the social links of engineering. He has over 200 published papers. His research is focused on the application of IT to improve the quality of life of dependent and elder people. He is also interested in how blockchain can be used in education.
