Sara Maitland is a British novelist and short-story writer. Her debut novel Daughters of Jerusalem won the Somerset Maugham Award and her subsequent publications were met with similar critical acclaim. She has worked on a wide range of projects, including radio shows for the BBC and with Stanley Kubrick on his A.I. project. She currently works as a lecturer for Lancaster University's Creative Writing MA and is a Fellow of St Chad's College, Durham University.
