Tom Sykes is an author, journalist and Associate Professor in Creative Writing and Global Journalism at the University of Portsmouth. He lives with his wife and cat in Southsea, UK and enjoys walking, reading, going to the cinema and cooking - especially spicy food. He is a regular contributor to Private Eye and has written for most UK national newspapers and a number of academic journals around the world.
