Autor’s Note: This is a thriller from Germany, set in the small town of Bamberg. It is a so-called Regionalkrimi (a local crime story). This type of novel usually focuses on one specific town or region and is especially popular among the locals. That’s why they’re mostly not translated into English. I don’t think you have to know Bamberg to really enjoy my story. Plus: I’ve got some good old friends in the USA. That’s why I’ve translated Jumpin’ Jack myself. Have fun!… And, if you do know beautiful Bamberg (maybe you were there as a GI?), you’ll probably enjoy my book a little more…
