Yawo Bessa is an associate professor of sociology and criminal justice at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with professional expertise in the sociology of health and mental health, sociological theory, social problems, delinquency/deviance, gerontology, and family studies. He is the author of The Amount of Parental Supervision Time and Children Delinquency: Analysis of the Relationship between Supervision Time and Levels of Delinquency.
