Men are not born men - and becoming a man means a hell of a lot more than getting a six pack and an office with a view. Sometimes we all need to rethink exactly who we are and what we want to be. Deep in post-divorce soul searching, therapist John Kim did just that. He came to an astonishing realisation: he was a miserable f*ck who might just be to blame for the problems in his life. And thus began his reinvention – a period of self-reflection and self-scrutiny. He started to unpack his emotions, his drives, his successes and his failures to help him stop acting like a boy and start living like a man. And this book tells you exactly what he learned. With his signature no-nonsense approach that will make you laugh and make you think, Kim takes you on a rough and tumble ride of exploration and discovery. As he says, we are all flawed, not everyone can be a winner - the key is to get to know our limitations and accept them and to express our f*cking feelings. Using this range of insights, Kim presents a powerful guide - self-help in a shot glass - covering essential topics from vulnerability and posturing to health and women, allowing all men to walk tall and build a life filled with purpose and passion.

John Kim blogs as The Angry Therapist. Frowned upon in the clinical world, he continues to look for new and unconventional ways to help people. He created the Catalyst Life Coaching Course, an online life coaching certification programme, and recently he started a new platform called SHFT, an app that gives people support in their pocket when they need it and the chance to become a life coach themselves. John Kim lives in Los Angeles where he makes videos on his phone, CrossFits, and rides his motorcycle to coffee shops to do sessions.

paperback. Condición: Good. Our good condition books are generally good for reading but not for gifting or collecting. They could have imperfections such as creasing, fanning, inscriptions, margin notes, yellowing, staining on edge or cover or pages, bumps, scuffs, etc etc (sometimes multiple of these). It's a wide category that encompasses anything that isn't almost-new down to anything that is slightly better than poor. We would NOT recommend gifting Good books - these should be considered reading copies. Our books are dispatched from a Yorkshire former cotton mill. We list via barcode/ISBN so please note that the images are stock images and may not be the exact copy you receive, furthermore the details about edition and year might not be accurate as many publishers reuse the same ISBN for multiple editions and as we simply scan a barcode or enter an ISBN we do not check the validity of the edition data when listing. If you're looking for an exact edition please don't order (at least not without checking with us first, although we don't always have time to check). We aim to dispatch prompty, the service used will depend on order value and book size. We can ship to most countries, see our shipping policies. Payment is via Abe only.
