Sinopsis

This book is an intimate collection of poetic reflections on the people who shape us, the bonds that sustain us, and the difficult work of becoming whole. Through memories of friendship, family, community, romantic love, and self-discovery, Mackenzie Angeconeb traces the connections that offered comfort, courage, laughter, and belonging during moments of profound change. Moving between college years, workplaces, childhood memories, cultural identity, heartbreak, healing, and spiritual awakening, these poems honour both fleeting encounters and lifelong relationships. They also confront the pain of lost boundaries, self-doubt, trauma, and the struggle to survive. Tender, candid, and deeply personal, this collection reveals how every relationship leaves a mark, and how, stitch by stitch, love, memory, resilience, and ancestral connection can help rebuild a heart.
