From the depression, nausea and constant burping of the first trimester, to the sciatica, sleeplessness and anxiety of the last; the elation and terror of early motherhood right through to the end of breastfeeding and her child’s first day at nursery - these poems describe one woman’s journey to becoming a mother.
‘Tender and evocative, furious and funny. I loved these poems so much, they will forever live by my bedside.’ - Pandora Sykes
“Grace is a huge reason as to why I am a poet - I am a poet because I want to be part of her club, I want to be doing what she’s doing.
Grace’s words transcend their topic, subject and genre - they are carvings of inner truth. Very British, very brilliant, very human.” - Charly Cox
