As a six-time published author, he is dedicated to inspiring personal growth, resilience, and purpose in people from all walks of life. In 2026, he was honored by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors for his leadership in the grassroots community effort that led to Juneteenth becoming an officially recognized paid holiday in Alameda County.Drawing from lived experiences that include overcoming childhood trauma, educational struggles, and incarceration, Kamarlo transformed his life through faith, education, and community service.
