GET UP!: You Must Have Lost Your Mind - Tapa blanda

Sinopsis

This is not the end for you. Get Up! You Must Have Lost Your Mind is the clarion call of seven women whose real-life stories of overcoming depression will impact and inspire you to understand, confront, and conquer depression. Whether you are struggling with depression or whether you love someone who is, reading these raw, true stories of how people whose lives were ravished with heartache, turmoil, and depression still win in the end, is like receiving the healing injection of hope and information that you need to move forward and live life on your terms again. According to the Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health, African Americans are 10% more prone to experience serious psychological distress but 13% less likely to receive treatment. As an advocate and overcomer of depression, the lead author, Roz Talley, and the authors of Get Up! You Must Have Lost Your Mind, are on a mission to help eradicate the stigmas and misinformation that are, all too often, associated with matters of mental health. The solutions and encouragement the book offers are rooted in facts, faith, and poignant stories of personal triumph. As Roz confidently declares about her victory over depression, "God did it for me. He can and will do it for you. Trust God. You will see that He is a God of His word. The authors of this book worked through our depression and won. You will too!"
