Poison Tea - Tapa blanda

Sinopsis

There's been a murder in Dickson, Tennessee. Dorothy Powell is surprised when Detective Lloyd "Butch" Peters invites her to spy on a ninety-two-year-old British woman that has just moved into the deceased Clyde Willems' cabin located a few miles behind her farmhouse. She is surprised to learn that Butch will marry his secretary Ellie at Christmas. Early on, Dorothy and her friend Lorene get to know Miss Alicia Colby and suffer guilt for their spying. Discovering the murder victim is Alicia's great niece propels Dorothy to work harder at discerning why Lorita Willems was murdered. This story is a warm-and-fuzzy relationship between the three women in Columbia, Tennessee, against a crime syndicate that is unmerciful. Early on, Dorothy becomes homeless from a series of storms that blew through Maury County. There's a new manager running the Senior Citizen Center. His attention to Dorothy seems unorthodox since he's much younger, but she can't help but fall under his spell. Why are night prowlers interested in Alicia's old cabin? What secrets does the property harbor? With Clint Howard's help, Dorothy solves the mystery, but not without serious consequences. That a serial killer is on the loose complicates life. Don't miss this exciting sequel to Two Dead on Crystal Creek! Readers will not be disappointed.
