David was born and raised in Northwest Arkansas. In 2001, he married his high school Sweetheart and started his dream job as a fireman. Since 2001, David has spent many years gaining knowledge, experience, and honing his trade skills. He holds several AFA technician level certifications along with having attended numerous other training classes. In 2006 he graduated Paramedic school. While David is at work, he genuinely enjoys helping those in need, talking to complete strangers, and hanging with his firefighter brothers and sisters at the station. Away from work he enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and his new puppy Jake. David is an avid college sports fan and calls the Hogs whenever he can. David's real passion is relating to children and being a positive role model. Whether it is through fire department related activities, reading books to children off duty, or interacting with children through day to day life. "If a difference can be made for the good in one child's life through our actions, then what we are doing has meaning and purpose."
