He serves as Artist in Residence for the Tennessee Arts Commission with a primary focus on dealing with troubled teens through both the written and spoken word. He resides in Tennessee with his wife, Tammy.

Acerca del autor

James E Cherry is the author of two novels, three volumes of poetry and a collection of short fiction. His latest novel, Edge of the Wind, was a Foreword Review 2016 Book of the Year Finalist for Fiction. Cherry has an MFA in creative writing from the University of Texas at El Paso and has been nominated for an NAACP Image Award, a Lillian Smith Book Award and a Next Generation Indie Book Award. He is an Adjunct Professor of English at the University of Memphis-Lambuth and resides in Tennessee with his wife, Tammy. Visit him at www.jamesEcherry.com.
