Achieving the SAT® Breakthrough: Acing the Types of Questions that Most Students Find Difficult; Focus On: Line References is a first of its kind set of SAT® prep courses. These courses, created into a series of books, allow students to focus on the questions that students answered most incorrectly in quantity on practice tests. Go to any bookstore or look on any internet retail site and try to find the material in these books, there is nothing like this out there or anywhere! The questions in this book are based on actual data from students' practice tests on which questions students most often incorrectly answered: line reference questions. Line reference questions, or command of evidence questions, are questions in which the test-taker must find the evidence in a specific line that proves the answer to a question about a passage. These line reference questions are paired with other types of questions for which the test-taker must find the proof of their correct answer. These "two-for-oners" work together so that if you get one, you can get the other. A student can improve on these types of questions by getting used to these types of questions, practicing, and understanding the questions' and answers' explanations. Approximately 10 out of the 52 questions on the reading comprehension section are line reference questions which are 20% of the total reading comprehension questions. Along with their paired questions, approximately another 10, that's nearly 40% of the reading comprehension questions related to line reference questions. Together with the other books in this series, students can breakthrough to a score never before thought possible. Students will transform their scores by understanding how the questions are formulated, how certain tricks are presented, and perhaps even going over the books a second or even third time to achieve the "Ah ha!" moment of understanding.
