Sinopsis

SECOND REVISED EDITION (Corrected version, June 2021)

THE BIBLE describes Jesus as the “real light that enlightens every man” (John 1: 9). The Bible also says in three places that he gave his close disciples the "knowledge of the Mystery of the Kingdom of Heaven." Jesus made clear that he gave his disciples the Mystery teaching when he was alone with them apart from the crowds. It was a teaching that enabled them to transcend and become one with God. Jesus reserved this aspect of his teaching for those who were having good experience on the path to enlightenment and who were ready for advanced knowledge. It was passed on among the early Christians for centuries as a guide to enlightenment, but was not included in the Bible. The Bible is God's word for those starting on the path. Paul, Mark, St. Clement, and many others also wrote about Jesus' advanced teaching for the mature.
In the late second century, however, an influential bishop of the early Church, Irenaeus of Gaul, a zealous follower of Paul’s gospel, wrote a book denouncing the very teaching Jesus had given his disciples. Irenaeus had not been initiated in Jesus' Mystery and almost certainly did not know it had come from Jesus.
St. Paul wrote that among the mature, we give a secret and hidden Mystery of God. The early Church Father St. Clement of Alexandria, wrote that he had been initiated into Jesus’ Mystery and had gained sublime experience of the Light of God from his practice of the Mystery. St. Mark took a Mystery gospel he had written to Alexandria where it was used for over a century to initiate people into Jesus' own Mystery.
Over the past two and a half centuries, manuscripts written by Jesus’ own disciples that had been hidden from book-burners nearly two thousand years ago were found in the deserts of Egypt and in uncatalogued museum collections. We will see hard evidence that these are records of the very knowledge Jesus gave his disciples of the “Mystery of the Kingdom of God.”
Jesus taught his disciples about the self-knowing conscious intelligence that pervades heaven and earth and he taught them a way to settle the mind and experience the boundless eternal Light of God. He described pure consciousness as one, simple, unchanging, unbounded, eternal, and supremely blissful. His characterizations of the eternal Light of God are among the most clear and extensive ever given, and they beautifully define the nature of enlightenment. Unfortunately, when copies of these ancient manuscripts were found over the last two and a half centuries, Christian apologists interpreted them through Irenaeus’ eyes and branded them the works of evil imposters. Throughout history, Jesus’ own teaching of enlightenment was hidden and denied, while Paul's Phase I teaching for beginners was presented as the word of God. We will see mounds of evidence that these ancient lost gospels contain the very authentic teaching Jesus gave his own disciples to teach others.
Christians today still doubt the authenticity of the lost gospels. It is time to get beyond these false doubts and realign Christianity with Jesus’ original teaching. His teaching of transcending and pure consciousness is his authentic teaching that must be restored to the heart of Christianity. Paul’s teaching, which he called a “mother’s milk” for babes, was meant as a Phase I teaching to prepare people for the Greater Mystery of Jesus. It has been mistaken to be the final word of God. Paul knew better; he tells that he had initiated at least two families in Jesus' Mystery himself. The Bible makes perfectly clear that Jesus gave his disciples a Mystery of the Kingdom of God.
This book restores Jesus' lost teaching and calls on Christians to return to his’ own teaching of enlightenment—to realize oneness with God and attain the Kingdom of Heaven within. Saying he is enlightened does not deny his Divinity; it affirms it more strongly.
