“Practical bioinformatic: an overview” is a comprehensive description of various practical aspects of Bioinformatics. The book is designed in a way that help the readers to understand the concept and perform bioinformatic task in a computer or a web platform. The book is arranged in six modules; the module 1 illustrates various biological database and sequence retrieval system. In module 2, tools like BLAST, FASTA and CLUSTAL W where briefly explained. Module 3 covers GENSCAN, ORF Finder, RADAR, SOPMA and GOR. Module 4 mainly focusses SULFINATOR, SIGNAL P, Peptide cutter and Dense Alignment Surface. Module 5 briefly explain Prosite, Blocks, TRANSLATE, DACHIS, RASMOL and Swiss PDB viewer. The last module comes up with various assignments (1-11) to cover what is explained in the previous modules.
