Marriage is a rite of passage that supposedly marks the notion that an individual has reached the midway mark of their maturity scale, some of the other yardsticks of maturity being parenting and senior citizenship. It is my intention to draw the reader to the in-depth reasons why some marital fights actually end up the way they do and further to that, how it is they can actually disagree and be able to walk away from each other without having drawn blood and degenerate their marriage to an abusive relationship. The intention is to share that marriage is an imperfect situation which comprises of the union of two imperfect people who have to waddle through their own differences and be accommodative of their partners’ differences. In recognising these individual differences and by sharing the views of these differences many differences of opinions are bound to rise and it is within those moments of engagement that things usually go awry.None of the characters are named and the setting is that of a focus or support group. There aretwo groups of people who are of different age groups counselling each other, especially the main male and the main female who are voicing their discontent in their marriage.
