Let’s face it; the renewing of the mind is a struggle when we are constantly trying to resolve the differences between what religion teaches and what the bible actually says. For years, religion has continually beat people over the head with how unworthy they are or has been feeding them a steady diet of sin consciousness. I assume this is where the saying comes from that “we are just old sinners saved by grace”. And while that statement has some truth in it. It is a fact we were sinners and we were saved by grace but the correct mind set is “we are no longer who or what we used to be”. We have been made new creations in Christ. We have been transformed by grace through faith.
