As Chief Accelerator Dr. Rohrs brings innovative solutions to market through his high level global connections. Innovations he has introduced to the market are in the areas of cybersecurity, environmental sustainability, corporate finance and insurance. As President & CEO of Enactus for more than thirty years, Dr. Alvin Rohrs took a small regional nonprofit with 18 participating universities in the US and grew it into an international force for sustainable social entrepreneurship with 70,000 active students at 1700 universities in 36 countries. Working alongside the Enactus board of directors, comprising leaders from some of the world's most successful companies including Walmart Stores, The Hershey Company, Campbell Soup Company, KPMG, The Coca-Cola Company and Rich Products Corporation, he guided the organization to develop a coordinated approach to building sustainable Enactus programs throughout the world. Under his leadership, annual revenue increased from $100,000 to $20 million. And during that time, more than 800,000 students became entrepreneurial action leaders, and more than 18 million people worldwide were empowered to improve their livelihoods. Widely recognized as an expert on entrepreneurship, social impact and acceleration leadership, Dr. Rohrs delivers powerful keynotes, conducts seminars and workshops, and provides consultation for companies and organizations in the business and non-profit sectors. He specializes in bringing innovative solutions to market through his high-level global connections. A captivating storyteller, he has spoken at the United Nations Foundation Plus Social Good Summit; Festival Economia in Trento, Italy; Circulo de Economia Forum on Social Responsibility in Barcelona, Spain; and the Clinton Global Initiative in New York City. He has been a featured speaker at numerous national industry meetings including GMA (Grocery Manufacturers Association) CEO Forum, RILA (Retail Industry Leaders Association) CEO Summit and the NACDS (National Association of Chain Drug Stores) annual meeting. His media appearances include Fortune, Forbes, Inc., The Wall Street Journal, HuffingtonPost.com, Time Magazine, and Entrepreneur and was also featured in the book True Leaders by Bette Price & George Ritcheske. In addition, Dr. Rohrs has testified at U.S. Congressional hearings on financial literacy and student entrepreneurship. An honoree in the Congressional Record three times for leadership, Dr. Rohrs received a National Charity Award in 1992, was named National "Entrepreneur of the Year, Supporter of Entrepreneurship" in 1995 by Inc. magazine, and was chosen to be an Olympic Torch Carrier for the XIX Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, UT. He earned a Juris Doctorate at the University of Missouri Columbia Law School, a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Southwest Baptist University, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Business from SBU. He and his wife live in Dunnegan, Missouri, and have two grown children.
