By weaving together a range of topics, the book takes readers on a journey through the evolution of the Internet, and its next generation--The Spatial Internet--and explores the current technosphere and terminology necessary to comprehend the metaverse.
The author creatively delves into unique social, cultural, technological, economic, and emerging urban phenomena, providing a comprehensive guide to designing and building metaverse urban environments. The author draws upon their knowledge of architecture, urbanism, and spatial design to present the metaverse not as a distant, abstract concept, but as a tangible reality that will revolutionize how we live, work, learn, earn, socialize, and play. It is a seminal work at the intersection of technology, media, urbanism, the future of the built environment, and life as we live it.

Firàs Safieddine is a spatial design practitioner whose work spans architecture, urbanism, design, ecology, and neurotechnology. He coined "Electrical Ecologies" and aims at designing the first 'architecture brain implant'. He is the founder and executive strategist at Spatial Forces, a next-generation spatial design practice operating from the microcontroller to territory scales, redefining spatial design in light of the current technosphere. His professional involvement goes beyond design, to strategy, writing, community building, and academia. He is the Chief Architect at Gamium, Founder and Creative Strategist at Urbanitarian, author and editorial board member at UrbanNext, and Chapter lead at NeurotechBCN, the Barcelona chapter of NeurotechX.
"The Metaverse is the Spatial internet and all that it takes to make it happen; it is the convergence of the internet of spaces and ownership, a shift towards a mass-personalized, experiential, and gamified internet and stakeholder economy, expanding a global financial agency that expands the market plane."
