Sinopsis
After the funeral of his granddaughter, who did not know Grandpa Bas Dekker, the farewell was heavy for him. Two worlds were at a loss by death and separation, and they come together fatally after nearly forty years and their characters are interweaved by the elements of nature and of man. There are very surprising twists between Father/Grandpa Bas Dekker and the separated family. Mother Earth suddenly overwhelms the inhabitants, and a terrible natural disaster is unprecedented in New Zealand. Ever since his fledgling youth, Daan Hoogbruin (born in 1954) has lived in a world of reality and fantasy. These are for him the building blocks with which he gives his stories a space. They are fiction and nonfiction, but they also contain romance and poetry.
