Testimony is what God gives us to share with the hurting and lost. It is the purpose of this work to remind, or perhaps recognize that your interaction with God is given not only for your own growth but to share with others to grow the Kingdom of Jesus ChristRalph King, a native of Tacoma, Washington, was born in the early 1940s into a less than affluent, but hardworking family. He grew up with an emotional, angry, and distant father and a loving, caring mother. The second of four children-one girl and three boys-he completed high school and made a brief appearance in college. At age five, he had an encounter with the living God and ever since that time has been asking questions of himself and the God he met. This journey over six-plus decades has been challenging, confusing, exciting, easy, hard, angering, important, and revealing. A story about a human who met the God who created him, who accepted him, who died for him, and forgave him, who now mentors him, loves him, and welcomes him into His kingdom as a favorite son. It is a story where God was and is able to answer many of life’s questions because He planted His seed in what He knew was good soil (Luke 8:15).Ralph and his wife Penny have five children: a son, Don, and four daughters: Tracy, Monique, Angel, and Martie. They are also blessed with 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He currently is serving as an associate pastor at Neighborhood Church in University Place, Washington. Previously, he enjoyed a law enforcement career and owned several businesses, including a restaurant and an accounting service; he was a general contractor; and through all those years served in lay ministry. In 1995 he retired from all the worldly jobs and went full time into ministry. He has no intention of ever retiring from his present career and says that’s because it has the best benefit program of all the other jobs combined.
