"This book begins by outlining the essence of Neo-Pragmatism, and then interprets China's development process from two perspectives: the determining factors and its impact on other countries as well as the global economy. The author argues that "Chinese-ism" constitutes a distinct model- a mixed economy based on diverse forms of ownership of the means of production, which has evolved alongside a centralized state essentially grounded in elite governance. The state's policies are both capable and responsible, with medium- and short-term objectives subordinated to long-term strategic goals. Based on this analysis, the author makes a bold prediction: the future of the world will increasingly depend on the future of China. The book also examines the developmental challenges China will face in the 2020s and the coming decade: although China has achieved remarkable progress, it still has a long way to go in narrowing the income gap, enhancing social cohesion, and addressing environmental protection and green economy development.
