He has authored five popular books, written for numerous national magazines including Men's Health and Reader's Digest, taught writing at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, launched magazines in such diverse places as Korea and Kazakhstan, and appeared on Oprah, Montel, Charlie Rose, CNN and other national programs. Kita specializes in writing about health and wellness, plus confronting life's challenges head-on. A sampling of the things he did for his books include: trying out for his high-school basketball team at age 40, tracking down his college crush (with the blessing of his wife), and spending a year of his life facing his 12 biggest fears. Since 2007, Kita has been splitting his time between his home office in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania and teaching memoir writing and yoga on Crystal Cruises.
