How to Beat the Pro Football Pointspread will set bettors on a confidence-building path lined with high-priority realities which for decades have flown under the typical football bettor's radar. Smith emphasizes that pure football knowledge must be absorbed, then applied to the world of pointspreads. He teaches his readers to look at the game with the bettor's eye instead of the fan's, and explains his theories on reasonable statistical expectations and how to challenge the oddsmakers. He also discusses the implications of coaching styles, stadium locations, and even the weather on each bet made throughout the season. With years of football betting under his belt, Smith has written a key resource for anyone wagering on America's most popular sport.

Soft cover. Condición: As New. No Jacket. 1st Edition. A pair of sports-betting books for one price. We list the ISBN of Smith's "How to Beat the Pro Football Spread," since Banker's "Spiorts Betting" -- an unusual 182-page, 1986 WIRE-BOUND paperback (so it will lie flat when desired) -- shows no ISBN. The Lem Banker book also lists no publisher other than the two authors, though in his "Acknowledgments" Banker thanks Mort Olshan of "The Gold Sheet" for "the generous help he gave us in putting together this book," as well as "top sportswriter for the 'Las Vegas Review-Journal's Royce Feour, who conscientiously edited my local column." "How to Beat the Football Pointspread" is a first edition, first printing 2008 octavo trade paperback of 155 pp. Reduced from $30. Nº de ref. del artículo: 010220
