The Tools of the Cross" takes a unique look at the life of Christ and his ministry in that it explores the fact that he used the same tools as a carpenter that were used to crucify him. Further, the book delves into why God chose the profession of carpentry for his son, and how he coped with using the tools of his trade daily knowing full well how his life would end. Finally, the book examines the spiritual tools of the cross, how Christ used them during his ministry and road to the cross, and how we can use these same tools to deepen our spiritual walk with our Lord.

Todd Dufek was born in a small town in the mid west and moved to Arizona when he was 11-years old. He went to high school in Lake Havasu City, Arizona and helped operate the family shoe business (retail sales and repair) throughout his teenage years. Todd attended college at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona where he graduated with distinction with a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences. He went on to the Arizona State University School of Social Work in Tempe, Arizona and graduated with a Masters in Social Work. The author spent four years in the field of social work before becoming a full time locker room manager at a local country club, and currently works at a private golf club in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has been in that profession for 20 plus years, founded the Locker Room Managers Association in 1999, and wrote two best selling niche books for those in the field. Todd first began journaling in high school and published poetry in a Christian magazine in the late 80's. He considers writing Christian books, both fiction and non-fiction, to be his calling and central area of interest.

Paperback. Condición: New. Have you ever stopped to consider that Jesus Christ used the same tools each day as a carpenter wood, a hammer and nails--that were used to crucify him? Knowing that he would die on the cross, how did he cope with this reality? What can you learn from him to deal effectively with the stresses you face every day? In a brief but powerful read, the authors share insights and real life stories from a cross section of Christians. These stories not only allow Christians and non-Christians to more fully appreciate what Christ did on Calvary, but also model how to use the spiritual tools Jesus employed to deal successfully with the rigors of modern life and walk more closely with the Master Carpenter.
