JAY STEVENSON, Ph.D., teaches writing, English literature, and cultural studies at Rutgers University and is the author of five Complete Idiot’s Guides®. He has written for Studies in English Literature 1500–1900 and for the Grinnell Review.



Jay Stevenson, Ph.D. has written a wide variety of books including The Complete Idiot's Guide(r) to Philosophy, Third Edition, The Complete Idiot's Guide(r) to Eastern Philosophy and The Pocket Idiot's Guide(tm) to Grammar and Punctuation. He received his Ph.D. in English Literature from Rutgers University, his M.A. in English from Boston College, and his B.A. in English and Anthropology from Grinnell College.
