Reseña del editor

This newly updated second edition of Michael A. Raithel's esteemed Tuning SAS Applications in the MVS Environment is the definitive book for tuning SAS applications that run on mainframe computers under the MVS, OS/390, and z/OS operating systems. Tuning SAS Applications in the OS/390 and z/OS Environments details the many tools and methodologies SAS programmers can use to reduce computer processing overhead, thus making their applications perform better and reducing computer charge-back costs. SAS programmers experienced in other operating environments, as well as newer SAS users, will increase their understanding of OS/390 system processes, performance measures, and operating system features. In addition, key OS/390 concepts are highlighted, including the three types of work that run on OS/390; OS/390 memory management; and hiperspaces.
