She participates in sewing conferences and has hosted PatternReview.com workshops in New York City, Portland (Oregon), and Los Angeles and also in Germany and Australia. The author's royalties will be donated to charity.

Sandra was inducted into the Sewing Hall of Fame in 2002. Sandra has written 10 books and created 12 instructional videos.
