The Shias are a pluralistic, all-inclusive, non-violent and tolerant community who adhere to their roots, adore their beliefs and admire their independence of thought and action within the boundaries of Islam. The Shias follow the viable advice of their leader, Imam Ali the son-in-law of Islam's last Prophet, who once counseled one of his Governors to be respectful, kind, fair and tolerant to both Muslims because they are his brothers in faith, as well as to non-Muslims because they are his brothers in humanity. And that is the overall gist of Shiaism. This book is an attempt to provide a sample of the same.

Biografía del autor

Syed Rizvi is Professor of Food Process Engineering and International Professor of Food Science at the Institute of Food Science, Cornell University. He is renowned for his research into the physical and engineering properties of biomaterials, experimental and theoretical aspects of supercritical fluid processes, extrusion, and value addition technologies.
