Mark A. Sportack is an information technology architect at AT&T, where he has worked for the past 18 years. His current responsibilities include specifying the architectures and technology base for AT&T's local and wide area networks. He has written numerous position papers and is the author or co-author of four books on various aspects of networking technology: High-Performance Networking Unleashed, NT Clustering Blueprints, Teach Yourself MCSE Networking Essentials in 14 Days, and Networking Essentials Unleashed.
