Jessica was given her first tarot reading at the age of seventeen. She was so moved by the experience that she became a devoted student of the cards and has been one ever since. Along with being a practitioner of the intuitive arts, she is also an herbalist. She co-owns Red Moon Herbs, an herbal medicine company, and teaches classes on edible and medicinal wild plants. Jessica lives in Asheville, North Carolina, with her husband, Brett, and her son, Emrys.

Tarot combines many of Lauren's favorite subjects: iconography, psychology, spirituality, history, and magic. Researching and creating this deck was a direct route to understanding this ancient system of divination. In addition to printmaking, Lauren is broadly engaged in the arts, from music to costuming to commercial graphic design. She also performs and teaches Middle Eastern dance and other ethnic traditions. She lives in the Asheville area of North Carolina with her beloved husband, Draven, and an abundance of feline and serpentine companions.
