Pro/ENGINEER Solutions and Plastic Design guides readers through practical examples of plastic components modeling, teaching robust modeling techniques and providing "inside" tips to delivering a manufacturable design. Using a series of exercises and tutorials, readers will learn to identify and model part surfaces for injection molding, split design assemblies into components, and use analytical tools to evaluate the quality of the finished design project. Because Pro/ENGINEER CAD models designed for manufacture in plastic are less intuitive to work with, the overall philosophy of how to approach such a part design as presented in this book differs sharply from the basic building block construction techniques in other Pro/ENGINEER tutorials.
